Unitary Method

Unitary Method-The method where first we find the estimation of one unit and afterward the estimation of required number of units is known as Unitary Method.

Example: Cost of two pants in a shop is ₹200. What will be the cost of 5 shirts in the shop?
Answer: Cost of 2 pants = ₹200
Cost of 1 shirt  = \dfrac{{200}}{2}= 100
Cost of 5 shirts =  = \left( {\dfrac{{200}}{2}} \right) \times 5 = 100 \times 5 = 500 ₹
