Substraction

The larger number from which we subtract the other number is called minuend. The number which is subtracted is called a subtrahend. The result of subtraction is called the difference.

Subtraction without borrowing

In order to find the difference between the two given numbers arranges the digits of subtrahend under those of minuend in the place value chart.

Rules

  1.  We can not change the order of numbers in subtraction.
  2. On subtracting \(\)0\(\) from a number, we get the number itself.
