The sum of all sides of a rectininear figure is called its perimeter.

Example -1

 \begin{array}{ll} \text{Perimeter}&=AB+BC+AC\\ &=5+6+4\\&=15\text{cm}\end{array}

Example -2

 \begin{array}{ll} \text{Perimeter} &=6+3+6+3\\&=18\text{cm}\end{array}

  • Perimeter of rectangle  =2\times(\text{length}+\text{breadth})
  • Perimeter of square  =4\times\text{Side of the square}

Example -3
