Improper fraction and Mixed fractions

A fraction, whose numerator is bigger than the denominator is called an improper fraction. For an example: \dfrac{5}{4},\dfrac{7}{2},\dfrac{{11}}{3},etc.

Improper fraction can be written as a combination of a whole and a part and are called the mixed fractions. For an example: \dfrac{5}{4} when written as 1\dfrac{1}{4} is called a mixed fraction.
