Expressions with Variables
We realize that variables can take various values; they have no fixed value.

That is the reason as on account of numbers, tasks of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division can be performed on them.

Utilizing various operations, we can frame expressions with variables like x{\rm{ }}--{\rm{ }}2,{\rm{ }}x{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}1,{\rm{ }}3n,{\rm{ }}2m,{\rm{ }}p4,{\rm{ }}2y{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}5,{\rm{ }}3l{\rm{ }}--{\rm{ }}7, and so forth

Note: A number of expressions can be immediately evaluated.
For example: 3{\rm{ }} \times {\rm{ }}4{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}6{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}12{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}6{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}18
But an expression containing the variable x cannot be evaluated until x is assigned same value.
For example,
When x{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}1,{\rm{ }}4x{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}3{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}4{\rm{ }} \times {\rm{ }}1{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}3{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}4{\rm{ }} + {\rm{ }}3{\rm{ }} = {\rm{ }}7.
