Equation of a Straight Line

An equation of line is used to plot the graph of the line on the Cartesian plane.

The equation of a line is written in slope intercept form as

y = mx +b

where m is the slope of the line and b is the y intercept.

m = \dfrac{{chang{e^{}}\ i{n_{}}\ y}}{{chang{e^{}} \ i{n^{}} \ x}}
