Addition of like fractions

Ex-

\dfrac{1}{5}+\dfrac{2}{5}=\dfrac{1+2}{5}=\dfrac{3}{5}

Subtraction of like fractions

\text{Sum}=\dfrac{\text{Difference between the numerators} }{\text{Common denominator} }

Ex-

\bullet\ \dfrac{7}{9}-\dfrac{4}{9}=\dfrac{7-4}{9}=\dfrac{3}{9}

\bullet\ \dfrac{5}{8}-\dfrac{3}{8}=\dfrac{5-3}{8}=\dfrac{2}{8}
